There was an open figure drawing session very near my house that featured two models each week – one male and one female – which was absolutely wonderful. During this session, after a few rounds of posing independently, the two models decided to do interactive poses – for this one, the female model lay across his lap and wound up looking directly at me for the whole pose! Sadly, this series was discontinued at the close of 2015. Drawing (charcoal on newsprint) by me.

Cool!must have been tough on her neck. A friend of mine had modeled here, and she has told me stories about how hard it is.i couldn’t do it. She’s in great shape, which helps a lot. Sorry about typos. Using my phone tonight. Cheers!

Definitely! This young lady was such a trooper – and held poses for 5, 10, 15 minutes that I couldn’t hold for 30 seconds! I agree, being in good shape would be very helpful for such an occupation.

Thank you, Jill! I agree – this pose was amazing and difficult for her to hold (I imagine!). I’m always impressed by the models and their ability to hold still for extended periods of time, it is an under-appreciated skill, for sure!
