This is the last of the three collages I created in response to Wendell Berry’s poem “Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front.” Mr. Berry is a writer, farmer, and activist whose career is difficult to summarize – and it is still ongoing as he enters his 8th decade of life. I admit to being much more familiar with Mr. Berry’s essays than his poetry, but a recent article in the New York Times inspired me to read some of his poems. Collage and composition by me. Scroll down or go here for collage 1 and here for collage 2. You can find the entire text of “Manifesto” at this link.
Thank you for introducing me to this poet. And your artwork is wonderful. Stands on its own and as an accompaniment to the words.

Thank you, Claudia! The series of collages really started with this last one and then I built the others from there. If you’d like to have one of the original collages, I’d be happy to send it to you. If you are interested, just send me a note through the “contact” page.
