Everyone else will be doing love poems today, so I thought I would do something else. Plus, we’ve been spending so much time with one of Edna St. Vincent Millay’s long poems, “Moriturus,” that I thought it would be a good change of pace to throw in one of her shortest – the sharp-edged epigram “Safe Upon the Solid Rock.” Photograph and composition by me. Have a great weekend and may you have only a little snow to shovel!

Marcy, thank you for your follow in FG today. I love your collages and your fresh look at things. What a beautiful blog you’ve created here. Best wishes, WG

Thank you so much! I was enjoying all the gorgeous pictures on your blog and burning with plant envy – right now we are buried in 7 feet of snow and nary a green thing in sight (except for the tiny aloe vera plant in a pot in my kitchen window sill).

Yeah for kitchen window sills! It is snowing here, and we’ll be under a few inches by morning. I hope all is well with your home. 7 ft is such a challenge to even carry on anything close to normal life, Marcy. I hope you’re warm and well 😉
