This verse from Oliver Wendell Holmes’ classic poem, “The Chambered Nautilus”, expresses a sentiment of gratitude from a great poet ostensibly to a mysterious and beautiful sea creature. But that may be just the first layer of this lovely poem – you can find the whole thing here – and the multiple layers of meaning are like our own feeling of thanks for all of the blessings in our lives on this Thanksgiving Day.
